The Apple Developer Connection, or ADC, is Apple Inc.'s developer network. It is designed to make available resources to help software developers write software for the Apple Mac OS X platform.

Benefits of membership

Select memberships - Select memberships have access to all the aforementioned features above, besides the ability to attend the WWDC. They are also limited to two incidents per year for support from Apple engineers, and one discount per year through the Developer Hardware Discount.

Premier memberships - Premier memberships have access to all features.

Student memberships - Student Memberships are similar to Online Memberships, although they've the chance for a scholarship to the WWDC and offer one Developer Hardware Discount. Only online membership is free of charge. All others are paid memberships, with varied pricing.

There have been several leaks of secret Apple software through the prerelease program, most notably the Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger leaks, in which Apple sued three men who allegedly leaked Mac OS X 10.4 prerelease builds to BitTorrent.
